Regenerate Response

Sometimes the AI response you receive may not fully meet your needs. With PromptCue's Regenerate Response feature, you can quickly request a fresh response. This feature is designed to enhance your AI interaction by allowing you to replace a previous AI answer with a newly generated one—all with just a few clicks.

How It Works?​

Hover and Activate the Regenerate Icon​

  • Visual Cue:
    When you hover over an AI response, a regenerate (🔄) icon appears.
  • Click to Initiate:
    Clicking this icon triggers a confirmation prompt. This extra step prevents accidental regeneration.

Process Initiation​

  • Resend the Prompt:
    After you confirm, PromptCue automatically resends the original user prompt (the message above the AI response where you clicked regenerate) to the AI model.
  • Delete the Old Response:
    To maintain a clean conversation, the previous AI response is removed from the message context.
  • Insert the New Response:
    When the AI model sends back a new response, it is added to the conversation, replacing the old answer.
