⚙️ AI Model Settings

PromptCue empowers you to tailor your AI interactions by fine-tuning model settings. Whether you're optimizing performance or customizing responses, our AI Model Settings dashboard puts control at your fingertips. By default, our system pre-configures parameters to deliver optimal results—but you can easily adjust these settings to match your unique needs.

How to Access Model Settings?​

You can access the Model Settings Dashboard in two convenient ways:

  1. Via the Chatbox Features Panel:
    Click the Model Settings icon in the Chatbox features panel.

  2. Through the App Management Sidebar:
    Click the Model Settings icon in the App Management sidebar.

Once open, the dashboard is divided into several sections for streamlined navigation.

Dashboard Sections​

1. Model Selection​

  • Current Model Display:
    The dashboard shows the currently selected AI model along with its provider (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, etc.).
  • Change Model:
    A dropdown menu lets you switch to a different AI model quickly. This ensures that you always have the right tool for the task at hand.

2. Generation Parameters​

Customize the core settings that determine how the AI generates its responses:

  • Temperature:
    Adjust the creativity of the AI’s responses. A higher temperature yields more diverse answers, while a lower temperature produces more deterministic outputs.
  • Maximum Length:
    Set the maximum length for AI-generated responses.
  • Top P (Nucleus Sampling):
    Fine-tune the probability distribution to control diversity in the output.
  • Frequency Penalty:
    Control the repetition of phrases to ensure varied responses.
  • Presence Penalty:
    Adjust how much the model avoids repeating concepts.
Note

Some AI models do not support all of these parameters. In such cases, you will see a note stating, Model doesn't support this parameter.

3. Response Configuration​

  • Custom Instructions:
    Use a dedicated text area to add or modify custom instructions. These instructions provide additional context that helps the AI model generate responses that are tailored to your needs.

4. API Key Management​

  • Add or Update API Key:
    Manage the API key for the selected model directly within the dashboard. This section allows you to add a new API key or update an existing one.
  • Security:
    All API keys are stored securely in your browser’s localStorage, ensuring that your credentials remain private.

5. Model Information​

Gain a deeper understanding of your AI model with detailed insights:

  • Description:
    A brief overview of the model and its primary capabilities.
  • Features:
    Highlights of key functionalities and strengths.
  • Pricing:
    Information on usage costs and subscription details, if applicable.

Automatic Saving & Immediate Effect​

All changes you make in the Model Settings dashboard are saved automatically and take effect immediately in your next conversation. This seamless integration means you can fine-tune your AI interactions without interruption.
