PromptCue is designed to streamline your AI interactions by giving you complete control over your conversations. Whether you’re starting a new chat or reviewing past discussions, our intuitive chat management sidebar makes it effortless to stay organized.

Starting a New Chat​

When you click the New Chat button in the sidebar, PromptCue handles it intelligently:

  • Active Conversation Present:
    If you already have an ongoing chat, the new chat will automatically continue using the same AI model—preserving your conversation context seamlessly.
  • No Active Conversation:
    If no chat is active, PromptCue will default to a preconfigured AI model, ensuring that you always have a starting point for your conversation.

This smart behavior helps you launch new interactions quickly without disrupting your workflow.

New Chat Title

When you start a chat with only a general greeting and no specific context, we will default the chat title to "New Conversation". If you begin several chats this way, they’ll all share the same title. To keep your conversations organized, please consider either renaming the chat after it starts or including more context in your initial message.

Accessing Existing Chats​

Your Active Chats are conveniently listed in the Chat Management sidebar. Here’s how it works:

  • View Previous Conversations:
    Click on any chat in the list to open and review the conversation history.
  • Effortless Navigation:
    Quickly switch between multiple chats to keep track of your ongoing projects or ideas.

Searching & Sorting Chats​

To help you find the right conversation at a glance, PromptCue includes robust search and sort features:

  • Search:
    Use the search bar to locate chats by title. Whether you’re looking for a recent discussion or a specific topic, our search tool makes it easy.
  • Sort Options:
    Organize your chats with several sorting methods:
    • Recent First: Displays the most recently active chats at the top.
    • Oldest First: Puts your earliest conversations first.
    • A-Z: Sorts chats in alphabetical order.
    • Z-A: Sorts chats in reverse alphabetical order.

These features ensure your conversations are always accessible and neatly organized.
